Why do a newborn shoot?
Babies are truely the most amazing gift, however time is fleeting and they change and grow so quickly. Before you know, it you will have a 3 month old in your arms.
This is why it’s so important to capture these unique newborn details within the first 14 days. This is when babies are at their sleepiest and most curliest so it’s easier to pose your baby comfortably. I’ll capture their tiny fingers, curly toes, their flakey skin and their button nose so you will always have memories of your beautiful baby as they are as a newborn.
How long will my session take?
During the session your baby will be the ‘boss’; we will stop for feeding breaks and time will be taken to resettle your baby into different setups. Depending on how your baby goes during the session and which collections you have chosen, it should take around 2-3 hours.
A mini newborn session will take 1.5 hours only.
How do i prepare?
All newborn sessions are taken in the comfort of your home. I bring my mobile studio to you, so there is no need to purchase anything for your session. If you do have something that is sentimental that you would like incorporated into the session (e.g. a family shawl or blanket), I am more than happy to incorporate it into your session.
I have an extensive prop and accessories collection to suit every colour pallet. If there is a particular colour that would suit your home’s colour scheme, please let me know.
When do I need to book?
Time is fleeting, in the photography world newborns are only considered newborns for 14 days. It’s best to book your newborn session in advance to avoid any disappointment and to ensure that your time is secured, as I am only able to shoot a limited amount of newborns each month.
